Stuck a tenner in the car yesterday, as it was very low. As I was at work I filled up there, now, I normally don't use tesco as a rule and this is the reason-  Nice big chunk of silicone clogged the filter, this is the second time this has happened, so heed my warning fellow motorists! |

i topped up on the low octane stuff recently as i was also desperate and near a tesco garage, now i always use low octane as i cant afford the high octane stuff, and so as usual filled car up with low octane, the performance was dreadful, as was the mpg, never ever do i buy tesco fuel again put a tank of high octane to wash the crappy fuel out im sure my piss has more bang than tesco fuel |

well looking at the materials compatability were going to have to re think fuel pipes and carburettor bodies....and jets thing is we wont have a choice it will just be in the pumps |

if i floored the car it had less power than at full throttle, with this nice petrol in its fine |

What's the carb body actually made of? The FBHVC link reckons aluminium will be OK, but I suspect there's a lot of zinc in there? I can't really see it having a huge effect on most of the metal parts of the fuel system... What sort of plastic is the standard tank made from? |
