Quick question- is there anyone near Lowestoft here? I work at tesco in beccles down the road, the other day I went outside for a ciggarete and noticed a carrierbag propped up against my car. Inside was a huge bundle of 2cvgb mags and one of those black handbooks. I would like to thank that person for their generosity and let them know I received the bag. Surprisingly no body nicked it!

Found a letter in the bag also, from dec 2005, names are Christine and Adrian... Maybe from the one show perhaps?!

I love stories about people doing random acts of kindness, it makes me all warm and fuzzy :)

What a kind thing to do! They must have seen your car there on a regular basis and dropped the stuff off especially.

saw a family eating ice cream in a dyane once, stpped told them how to get to my house and when they did i replaced their tatty gaffertaped roof with a nice shiny "wendy" style stripey one and sent them on the rest of their holiday.

i was stopped outside a tesco once, came back to the car and someone was hovering, expecting to be lectured on leaving a dog in a car( he is a bloody mare and will sit in the 2cv for hours on the drive in the hope we will go somewhere) only to find they had seen the car and wanted me to go with them so they could give me a new heated rear screen and various bits of 2cv tat

always pass on a random act of kindness X 10

It is lovely I'll admit, I'm not in the club at the moment as I'm too old to be classed under dads family policy, and I'm just too lazy to apply, I'm guessing they know that as there was a membership form in there!
The last good Samaritan left a note and phone number if I wanted an engine, found out he got it with an ami he had but never used it, I made sure it wasn't seized and took it home. Good job really as mine is leaking oil and a spare would be handy!

I'm sometimes near Lowestoft as my mum lives near Halesworth together with my 1979 club in bits which she has enjoyed looking at for the last 13 years.

I know it's off topic but last sunday somebody brought me 2 brand new Michelin 145-15 tyres with the stickers on. I wasn't at home my wife's son was.
The man's only comment was he didn't use them... probably I do.

I'm still in shock........

I walked in the local Volvo main agent for a few bits and pieces and was given a genuine Citroen, 2CV rear brake drum puller.
