Have you dropped the organisers an email?

I strongly suspect they've cocked up the international banking identifiers on their website - you're not the first that's muttered...

Like most French meetings they accept cash [Euros], cheques [drawn on French bank] or bank transfer [within France]. If you use the IBAN number to transfer from the UK most UK banks charge upwards of 20 quid.

I think your only real option is to send cash in a recorded letter.

If you know someone with a French bank account they could write a cheque for you. I would offer but have been stung before by a 2CVer who still owes me for a French national ticket four years ago,

I thought a condition of their ACI funding was that they had to have Paypall in place?

No sign of that on their web site. Have read the French as well and its not there. They never have made it easy to pay in the past so I see little reason why they would change now, ACI or not. This is France after all.

That's your punishment for not using Euros like the rest of Europe (almost)
Maybe ask them for Paypal payment?

AIUI, no - just that they can accept electronic payment internationally. And I think even that's not in place as a condition of selection until the 2011 event-of-the-year.

Personally, I'd fight tooth and nail against any individual commercial payment network being specified like that, especially one with such high fees and abysmal reputation as PayPal.

Paul - name & shame!

I've done it a few times and had no problems.
