Post Versatile..
Can anybody think of a car which has had more different roles than the humble 2CV?

I mean, just off the top of my head, it (and it's derivatives) been used for:

Racing,
Oil exploration,
Snow ploughing,
Off roading,
Fire engines,
Ambulances,
Taxi,
Promotional work,
Art,

Anybody think of anything else? Copy/paste my brief list and add to it. I know I'm blinkered and biased, but I can't think of anything else, except maybe that hateful machine (sorry DubDefector) the VW Cox/Beetle. And I'd like to think The 2cv is more adaptable and versatile than that...

All of the above were done by the series two and three landrover I believe, plus a few armoured variants, rail movable things, and more practically as campers. (though I have seen photos of a fair few 2cv camper conversions).

Funny - I've always seen them as cars with exactly the same sort of ethos - it's just my former scene's far too snobby and 8-) to actually enjoy!

Give me any peasant car (and that includes a Dacia Sandero or Tata Nano!) and I'm impressed!

I'm sure you've all seen it, but I can't find a pic - how about that 2cv from the WM with full disco/bar/mirror ball going on? Plus the PA stack I got all excited about the other day - mobile disco should be added!!
