 Re: What did you do with your A Series today? More snow over night so took Quad out for a spin. Sideways everywhere ( teenage hooligan once again)Snow melted quick so took Dyane to local village where the butcher had his summer toy out.

Re: What did you do with your A Series today? Couple of days ago now, but I put the gearbox back in the beige Dyane and started putting the engine back in.

Re: What did you do with your A Series today? Took it out for the first drive up a Pyrenean Mountain today. Drove up to the Col des Ares (799m) which is around a 20 Km round trip. Did OK too except we had to use 2nd gear for the last 1 Km.  Coming down around those hairpins was hilarious  Attachment:

I took mine out and thrashed it down the M5 &M50 to Hereford, ostensibly for a birthday party, though it would seem I was out purely for the benefit of Kia drivers so that they could aim at me: one blocked me in at the petrol station, one overtook me on the M5 and pulled in so close he nearly took my wing off, two more overtook me just to pull off at the next junction about 500yards further down

Re: What did you do with your A Series today? Opened the garage door to find the car is damp from this heavy rain and strong wind.
Better dry it off when this rain resides!!!

Re: What did you do with your A Series today? Looks very nice, although the headlamps still seem to be a shade of orange, rather than white? Mind you, it is a long time since I last owned a car with 6 volt electrics ( VW  ), so I cannot remember how they looked in daylight... Any sign of 'mayo' in the oil filler/breather neck?
