Years ago, we had (single) 31s on the Leicester- Brum service but they were replaced by DMUs
Nice update of Bolton Road; shame about the big fence now and the removal of the old lamp-posts.

I hadn't seen the info on this shot but I was certain it was Birmingham,I must have walked down this very street at some stage whilst policing matches at the City ground during 1977 to 1990 period.Funny how you know a location but can't think why :lol:

Thanks! My colleague's other suggestion was a summer SW-NE train, which I think is close enough, albeit it's dated September.

He'll be chuffed with that! :mrgreen:
