1) Looks like a Uniroyal to me

2) Why the fck would you pay that for a 'new' tyre of unknown vintage when you can get brand new Toyos for thirty five quid a corner?

If I wanted to make squealy noises and have crashes above all else then I think I would probably buy it. They are similar to firestones in that when you corner hard they fall off the rims.

I'd say he was merely a beginner.

id say £250 for a decent working engine (thats had a service) is a decent price, a rusting pile of shite on the other hand,,,can sometimes be a gem in the rough
Vickis orange cars engine was a rusty pile like that last one. Over looked at the back of the large pile id bought - when i stripped it i reckon it was about 30k old so fresh were the internals.

but yeah - taking a punt

It was only four or five years ago that you could need an engine, and buy one the same day for £20-£50. There's still plenty out there, I don't understand the sudden 'value' increase. Unless I'm wrong and they're all in Wayne Cowlings shed? He bought six off me last year.

It looks like a 'restored by numbers' kind of job to me. I'm sure it's nice, but if they don't even know how old it is, how can they be a judge of any other aspect?

Again, if it goes for that money I will be very happy.

But your right, there is no attention to detail at all. The engine is the easiest place to make it stand out and Citi s just dirty and old looking - if you are going to do the whole car then at least spend an hour or two on that.
