 Re: Ami 8 love
Cheers Russell, I struck lucky with this one - it was for sale at last years French National. 63,000 kms from new and never been out of Alencon in its life. I will be taking it to this years French National - hoping to pick up a decent pair of rear wings. Graham

The van (Service?) does it for me. So neat and quite sleek. I remember when I first saw the Ami 6. I thought it was the maddest ugliest most cheap-crap looking car ever. Now I love it. Jack

 Re: Ami 8 love
The cat almost matches the paint. I notice the file name for the pics says "cimos" - that's one of the Yugoslavian-built Amis? (SLO on the plates?) How do they differ from French Amis?

 Re: Ami 8 love
Yes it is CIMOS original. Not much different than french cars. In 70is and 80is we had our own color scheme and normal was that when models was change in France that difference come to Tomos and Cimos factory some year later. And when some parts was not delivered from France they put some other part that was not from particular model. Otherwise only special part that we had on all 70is 2cv an ami is PO air filter. That black on the top of carburetor. And that was beacouse In France they did not know in that time that our country are not somewhere in Africa Tomos factory produced 2cv and ami 6 - 8 and super from 1961 until 1973 and than Cimos was founded and produced 2cv and ami 6 - 8 and super until 1976 than all this stopped and started to produce Dyane 6 and GS in new factory. Than they stoped production cars, only continue wit parts for Citroens. But in 1982 until 1986 they produced unique Dyane DAK and Dyane Geri . Designed and made complete in Cimos . This is Geri And Dak

 Re: Ami 8 love
Your Ami is fantastic, such a pretty colour too. A certain mr Barbour offered me a DAK recently, (or the remains of three) I don't think we have any in uk. I'd like to learn more about them.
