What can I use as a quicker release system then just a nut and a bolt...? Something like the sprung pins that hold the rear seats in that don't need any tools to work

Depends on what load the fastening needs to carry, but would this Dzus type be up to the task?

If it needs to be more flush and money is no problem, this could be an option: http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/motorspor ... on-release

these are less expensive and also quite flush but need a screwdriver or coin to open or close:

DZUS fastners are for body panels and the like.
Measure panel carefully and select the correct length, else they don't fix properly.
too long by 1mm hence the washer...
Rivet in clips are easy to fix http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GENUINE-Dzus- ... 53de05239a

Thanks for the help guys, might just get rid of the thread, drill a hole through a bit of rod ad stick a couple of R-clips through it... Cheap and easy :)

Anybody want a Fiat Seicento with two weeks mot and shagged rear arm bushes? My foray into used car dealing has gone terribly wrong, I'm only making a £50 loss on this one, unlike the £250 loss I made on the MX5.

If anybody else has some unroadworthy shit they want to sell to an idiot, PM me, yeah?

I'm aware that this would never have happened if I'd stuck with a good old 2cv. Just before anybody else points it out.
