Nice to have you here. :) I love the look of your 1970 ENAC - it's gorgeous!

Hello!

I didn't realise there was an introductions thread until recently.

I'm Joe and I live in North Yorkshire, we've had 2CVs in the family since I can remember, I took them for granted when I was younger, they were the norm, although I didn't when I used to get dropped off at junior school - once my Dad couldn't start it and was seen fixing it with a bit of coat hanger as my school mates all filed past laughing. Good preparation for life I reckon. I didn't realise how 2CV obsessed we were until I looked around my house and spotted ceramic models, 2cv teapots, flying citroen duck ornaments on the wall, family photos in front of them, posters, plastic models, even though I've not been around one since I was about 14.

We had this named JJ and a Charleston in the late 80s/early 90s, would love to know what happened to it, my earliest ever memory is picking it up in Preston when I was about 2:

I've currently gone back to my roots and realised that I needed one again and bought the Acadiane that Neil brought back to life:

I now want an Ami as well or ideally in a perfect world a 50/60s variant. I'm completely hooked again, its brought back many memories from childhood that I'd forgotten. I remember going down the M6 and asking "Mum why can I see the road through the floor?". I can't believe I've not thought of getting one for myself before. Its probably the best car I've ever driven, I bloody love it.

cheers

Joe

p.s will be asking tons of daft and potentially annoying questions so bear with us...
