I'd want £200 a day minimum. It's a hideous job and doing it on site makes it ten times worse.

Think I'm going to do it myself and charge myself £200 for doing it. At some point I'll probably have a dispute with myself concerning how the job was more complicated than I'd been led to believe, and then I'll have a row with myself over the final cost. Cos I'll have been such a git I'll end up telling myself I'll never accept another commission from me ever again, and then I'll tell myself to fuck off, twice.

Post Re: The O/T thread!
Now that's a good idea! I don't have PLI either, so I could totally stuff me and sue myself via the small-claims court. That would teach me a lesson!

Mind you, if I did that I'd easily be able to get my own back cos I know where I live, see. I'd come round to my house when it was dark and chuck a brick through my windows and pee in my 2CV's petrol tank, just to get my own back. That wouldn't be fun and might upset the kids, so maybe I shouldn't bother. I hate aggro, me.

Although I apply a 100% surcharge when welding replacement damper mounts onto 'best priiice' chassis, just for spite...

Thanks Ken, I hope that's not true.

Pete,
you're right, nowadays I refuse to repair the d@mn things and instead suggest that they're taken back where they came from, be that 'ull, hell or 'alifax...
