I only just noticed this thread........
My name is Geert , and live in The Netherlands .
Tom Duckpower drew my attention to this forum on 2CV.NL, so I decided to have a look and so here I am now.
I own a AZU B from 1974, imported from France.Bought it from a dealer nearby, looked oke, but the condition turned out to be worse then first thought.
It is currently undergoing restoration, but because my son and i are very busy with our jobs, there is not much going on the AZU site at the moment.
My first car was a Citroen AMI 8, and so was the second one. Then I started my own business, and i needed a truck, so I sold the AMI.
Now i own a Ford Focus estate privately, and a MB Sprinter truck for my work.
I hope to finish the restoration of my 2CV next spring, but if it takes longer it is oke.

Hello everyone.
I am Jack du Gan from the Veneto in Italy.
I have wanted a 2cv for some time and decided I must look for a Charleston, Burgundy & Black.
As I perused the sources, I found a number but none were close enough to justify the trip to inspect.
Then I found one only an hour or so away. It looked OK and I lost all reason and failed to carry out anything but the most cursory inspection. I thought6 I made a good deal but in fact I bought a lot of work and problems. I will spare you the details only to say that now 18 months later the car is still not on the road. But I'm working on it. I have recently consulted the Technical section and was very pleased with all the helpful response. Nuf said, back to work!!!

Hello to all

I recently bought a D*lly (noticed everyone hides the 'o' are we supposed to be ashamed ?)
Obviously a vast amount of knowledge and experience here. And very friendly as well.
So far had a bit of welding to the floor done.
Thinking of learning how to weld myself as there is more to do - wont start the 'Which Mig / Gas / Gasless wars' again - well not for a while anyway.
Part of the 'fun', for me at least is trying to do as much myself as possible. So far taking things apart has been pretty easy !

All the best and be prepared for lots of questions..... (promise to trawl previous threads first)

Harry

Hello Harry,

Thanks for joining. The D*lly thing is only meant in good humour, it's something that goes years back. Plenty of folk on here have dollys.

By all means ask questions, and show us some pictures of your car!
