Re: The O/T thread! this site is ok for me ,very fast and my puter is ancient i have a loading prob on an electricians forum, it drives me crazy! when i look at the bar at the bottom of the page allsorts of crap is being logged into before the next page comes up  take a look at this http://www.techsupportalert.com/content ... -pages.htm

Re: The O/T thread! I must say that since logging in just gone 3pm I've had countless 'issues' with the forum. It's very slow and I'm getting this:- "Service Temporarily Unavailable
The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later.
Apache/2 Server at www.international2cvfriends.com Port 80"It's been driving me nuts!! I'm off to WASPs shortly, so I'm hoping the issue rights itself by the time I return.

Re: The O/T thread! Same as Jonathan. However it does give you the time to go and make a cup of coffee while the server is making up its mind whether to do as requested or throw a wobbly instead...  Back in 5 mins. ken

Re: The O/T thread! try this--look to the right hand side of the second bar up at the bottom of the page, theres a symbol of a lock in yellow with a circular arrow surrouding it-- click it and it lights up
this apparently stops the web page from loading all sorts of rubbish during page changeing
