Put a new seal on my windscreen. It was hard! Took ages so didn't have time to put the screen in the car, boo.

Yeah I was thinking that earlier. I keep posting in this thread, I should probably start my own dedicated car thread.

It's been a voyage of discovery for me too, first time I've been getting a good result painting, using spray cans. It's a minefield! I have a very healthy respect for bodywork people now.

Haven't used it for nearly 3 weeks. Did look to use it to travel to work yesterday, but when I turned the key it was completely dead. Battery was a flat as a witch's tit. I've got it running this afternoon and just returned from a drive down to the ferry terminal and back. Car now back in the garage. I'll look to make a start on replacing the manifold gaskets in the next few days.

Had some OAP smack the rear offside wing and wheel last week near Ludlow as I was turning into a junction and he came out and "didn't see me" FFS! Agreed that I would take £300 to not go through insurance but the old giffer changed his mind and wants to go through the process - well it's now going to get the back end rebuilt rather than a couple of wheels and tyres and a new wing!

Wouldn't have seen it as attacked me from the offside rear as I turned - going through insurance is now going to cost £900 so serves the old git right......hope his insurance premium rockets up and they make him take a medical!
