Worth checking the bolts front and rear are torqued up and fitted with locking tabs.
Had my own fails, when bolts are loose and no locking tab!!!

Took my old mower to the tip. Just a couple of inches too big to go in the boot.

Had the rear wheel brake drum off and i investigated wheel bearing noise. What wasn't seized, was loose. Freed off, adjusted and tightened up now. A much better pedal. :)

Not really, I just slid the front seat forward until it was free of the runners, probably less than 15 seconds to remove. My rear seat has a parcel shelf to remove before you can take it out, you see, which adds to the hassle a bit.

Been down to Hastings then over to Battle to walk around the battle field. It's the 950th anniversary on the 14th of next month. Work with someone from Hastings who told me it's a right old hole, but I think it's a lovely old town and well worth a revisit in the future.

To this. All shiny and clean, with replacement switch for my active bass tube. Had it for years and when i leave it on it eventually flattens the battery. I've always had illuminated switches for it over the years but the bulb never lasts long and I end up leaving the bloody thing on again.

I got the switch a while ago from Chevrons2 and its taken this long to get time to put it in. Nice to re-route the wires up through properly too.
I kind of wanted to make all the switches like this but then realised I wouldn't know what they were for unless I labelled them. Feels so nice and high quality, the LED is really bright on the end.

Now to get used to having a red light glowing on the dash that doesn't mean something bad......

Post Re: What did you do with your A Series today?
Spent last night at The Bell Inn in Frampton-on-Severn after an evening with the Bristol 2CV club, ARTists. After popping in to see my brother and sister in Worcester, I headed back north and spent a couple of hours in Lancaster before arriving in Tebay where I'm staying overnight before I complete my mainland Britain journey and arrive in Aberdeen tomorrow afternoon in readiness to board the ferry to Shetland in the evening. I'll be home in Unst on Thursday and the 2CV will certainly have earned a well deserved rest. Just one question: I seem to be getting quite a bit of petrol leaking from the hole under the carb. Any suggestions?
