Today, I have mostly been leaving the top off the oil filler and giving the engine compartment a generous misting of oil as a result!

Oh dear.. I did that not long ago, after managing to avoid it for the best part of 20 years of ownership. haha. The trail of smoke was my first clue, lol.. You should have seen the mess.

I pressure washed it all, and the brakes, and it came up great. Didn't even need to change the brake pads.

Waiting for the 9:45am ferry from Unst to Yell, and heading to Lerwick via the 10:45am ferry from Yell to Shetland Mainland. Booked on the 6:05pm and 6:55pm return crossings. Considering whether or not to watch this new mash up of Batman and Superman film at Mareel. If the Superman film from 4yrs ago is anything to go by, then I really shouldn't bother.

Have arrived at Ulsta Ferry Terminal on the southwest corner of Yell. Waiting to board the 10:45am ferry to Mainland. Deuche pootled along at about 50mph for a lovely relaxing drive.

Changed oil & filter, washed air filter, checked plugs [they were OK] and swapped plugs [RtoL & LtoR] , cleaned plug leads, greased the kingpins & driveshafts, sprayed some "spray grease" on the knife edgey thingies, and adjusted the handbrake [yet again].....a couple of squirts of Olive Oil in the spring cans [Wifey did'nt have any "Trex" chip oil lying around in the kitchen  ]
All ready for summer now :D .....with an [almost] nice round figure on the speedo.....and I'm off on an overnight 50mile jaunt into Derbyshire in tomorrow evening... :D 8-)
I cant decide if to remove the Muff or not before diving in ....

My variation on checking tracking. The two lengths of stud have eyelets screwed in each end with a bungee around the wheel, that holds them tight to the wheel. I used 2mm strimmer line attached to the rear most eyelet, which when pulled and fixed around the front most eyelet gives you your line twix the wheels, this then gives you your tracking measurement point.
I used the strimmer line as it is strong brightly coloured and only £1 from the obvious outlet as were the bungees. The eyelets l already had along with the stud so the total cost 3 quid :-)

Today I have mostly been fettling the Ami by putting new tyres on it, sticking a roof lining on it (fecking pain in the arse to get right!) and putting new seat foam in the front seat bases and rubbers - very comfy now!
