My Pictures from the Ace Café / Citroën 90th....
Only phone quality so not as good as Tim's photos above. but thought I'd post them anyway.
I went down with Mark in his 4x4 which had made it into the concours competition, so we got to park inside the small car park along with lots of Tractions and DS. The concours was divided into the 9 decades of Citroën production. 2000s, 1990s, 1980s etc.
View from the Roof as "TV's Mike Brewer" was wowing the crowd with his wit:

Check out the paintwork on the CX at the end of the line below, its that expensive TVR stuff which changes colour as you look from different angles. The whole of the engine bay was chromed and polished to perfection.
Needless to say he was Very Worried that Mark's door would scar his paint finish !

Liked this "so what" finish SM, apparently has competed in eurpoean classic car rallies.

Never seen this 6 wheel CX before, it was converted in Germany and reminded me of a TGV

Spanners' classy ride parked out front - had to really bumping up the kerb was not an option with his ride height. Very cool car though Mr Spanners and nice to meet you.

I think this is is a Rosalie, please don't beat me up if I'm wrong though.

Some interesting Acadiannining going on in the concours too.

This XM won the concours prize for its decade.

Mark's 2cv 4x4 didn't win in its decade

Boo!

A very nice SM and wierdly airbrushed CCrosser bracketed Spanners' race car. Ellie's car in background, recovered from its roundabouting experience.

We waited in the cold north wind with tension gradually rising for the famous TV's Mike Brewer to announce the winners of the concours.

What a surprise, despite being in production for 6 of the 9 decades, and being the epitome of Citroën, the 2cv didn't win a single category. Boo. We were robbed, there should have been at least one 2cv (/A series), DS, and Traction in amongst the winners.
You can see below Dot's original promo 007 (no shilly shallying with dealer sticker kits on a mimosa club). Only 4 of these now in existence.

Bit of a funny event - we didn't really fancy doing the "Croissant Blank" drive round London in the dark bit afterwards, but nice to meet with people and I'd always wanted to go to the Ace Café, so all in all a pretty nice way to spend a Saturday afternoon!
