@Joe Catchou, I'm still missing a 2cv.nl-sticker on your car...

About me:
Tom, 24years old, living in Tilburg Holland and I'm a student (radiographer).

A-type driver since 21-11-2002 (I was only one week 18 when I bought my current 2CV) and drove te car standard until november 2004 (MOT failed on chassis & floors).
In the meanwhile did some mods like painting the car black (it was white), wider wheels + adventure bumpers.
From then one drove with my dads grey Charleston and in august 2005 we started the rebuilding of my own car.
The Charleston is just ready from a mild restauration (welded chassis and new floor).

My 2CV-virus passed on to my sister an mother. My sister has a AC 531 /vert tuileries Club from 1975 and my mother has a 1987 red 2CV6 Club.
My girlfriend has 2 2CV's, one standard and one on GPL.

So in total 6 2CV's in the family.. It could be worse...

Hello All I just joined this forum and so I'm introducing myself.

I'm Chris and I probably know some of you guys, I used to be quite into the 2cvgb camps a few years ago but have done only a few recently, only daytrippin' :(

Still have my 2cv on the road though, a 1979 2cv Club in blue myosotis with big number 16's on the doors. I'll post up pictures in the other thread sometime soon.

I recently blew up the engine so in a break with tradition I've actually bought new pistons barrels and heads to fit soon. Can't actually remember how many secondhand engines I've been through over the years ... you know how it is !

Chris

Hi Chris,

I vaguely remember your 2cv from when you visited the shed with Matt (who's just sold his DS for a Wartburg, the only time in history this has ever happened).

Good to have you along.

I've also realised that just because an engine is seized it's actually not a nightmare job for proffesionals to stick new pistons in, if an idiot like me can do it, anybody can! There's a good chance we'll be throwing fewer engines away for the sake of a couple of hours tinkering.

Hi guys, just saying hello! Looks like a good forum - 'mine' is an '85 Special, in red. Fast and the best 2CV I've ever had. Don't cosset it, just have it serviced well.
