It's The Flier. It's for shure one of the best looking kit-cars I've ever seen. I read about this car a couple of years ago, but have not heard any news since. Looks good though. But the BlackJack cars are also nice ones I think. And they exist ;)

Another distinctive design and one of the undoubted highlights of the show was a curious device known simply as 'The Flier'. The brainchild of mechanical engineer, hot-rodder and former Hawk fabricator Greg Murrell; this concept was quite unlike anything else at the show. It's gloriously over the top cartoon styling wouldn't have looked out of place in the garage of Cruella de Vil and it's beautifully elegant folding roof is surely one of the nicest design features ever seen on a kit car. The unfinished prototype looked superb with or without the roof down, but seemed to take on entirely different character in each situation. Greg is considering the possibility of starting kit production using 2CV running gear and a bespoke chassis. If the reaction it received on Sunday is anything to go by, he is on to a winner.

This is my 500th post so very little to say to mark the occasion other than I am not sure about this car. I presume looking at the length of the body, you would be sitting right on top of the fuel tank. So if you crashed you would die quick.

Don't crash it! I bet you'd have a big smile on your face if you drove it, must be loads of leg room too.

You'd have to get into it first, though.

Anyone figured out how that is supposed to work...

That doesn't work for old blokes. I think Ken and I would look like complete arses climbing in through that.

I took that pic at the 2007 Hot Rod Drags at Shakespeare County Raceway. I seem to remember they were some crazy amount of money for a finished one (well into five figures...).

Very cool, though.
