Correct answers:DubDefector wrote: Okay, so I'm going to say it - I like it. And let me finish... ...the IES is still a 2cv! It certainly is, which is what this website is all about. Jono wrote: I hope you find one to do a feature on.
I'm aware of one, but I need to follow it up and actually speak to the owner. Watch this space. sopwithcamel wrote: Curious to see the workings of one of those IES cars, have searched online, but to no avail See above. Incorrect answers:Gay_Joe wrote: well you see your sortof right and sortof wrong... the ies america/super america were pretty much just 2cv bodyshells? So we're not allowed to post pictures or discuss Amis or dyanes, which are pretty much just a 2cv chassis? Are you telling us we can't discuss Visas, LNs or AmiSupers? How much of a '48 car is the same as a '90 car? How do you define what is a 2cv? Quote: they are frankly quite disgusting... In your eyes, but then some of us like 2cvs, that's why we started this website. International2cvfriends.com is more about wanting to learn aspects of 2cving culture and history which are unfamiliar to us by keeping an open mind on them. Once I've got a bit more spare time on my hands, I'll be chasing down the sole IES I'm aware of and we'll do our best to get it featured here. Thanks for posting it Snowy, and welcome to the forum. In the 'Cool pictures thread Neil recently posted loads of pictures of these curious South American concoctions.

 Re: Frankendeuche!
Russell, is that the one which was around Louis' place for some time? I'd love to know whether that intake poking out of the bonnet is mandatory for racing 2CVs in Argentina. Link from Roy's site... < http://www.ecas2cvparts.co.uk/info_page ... b26de6f8d3 > ( edit. Sounds as though he almost fell off the cam around 2.20. ) ken.

SOme parts of them i like, the full length windscreen, the crazy bumpers they fit on them and the not quite dyane rear end, but i have to say, they could have designed the grille and headlights a bit better That's how to express a negative opinion. Nobody is picking on you. Read my post again until you understand it.

 Re: Frankendeuche!
http://www.citroenet.org.uk/foreign/lat ... 4x4-1.htmlIt was like that I think. I am starting like the dyane rear boot lid, but not the dyane lights they dont suit a 2cv, IMO.

Gay_Joe wrote: so citroenet says they had wishbone suspension louis, outboard front discs aswell!!!! I thought the reason the 2cv had to have inboard breaks was because if they were mounted 'outboard,' when you breaked hard, the construction of the suspension would mean that the chassis over rides the wheel?
