No thanks for that Neil, and Bart, I must have got mesmerised by the wheels! lol

Quick edit: Just nipped out to measure and by pure luck/chance I've had it done to 93 wide - brilliant!

Thanks again chaps!

I was parked behind a 602'd 2CV4 earlier and noticed that seemingly it too has the narrower bar and I quite agree, they do look better and at the same time more, back to basics, I like it

Sam I was lucky enough to have guessed correctly at the width and had my bar cut accordingly. It's a very subtle difference, but it does make the car look 'older'.

Here's a photo from last week when I trial fitted the bonnet to see how it would be in relation to the lamps.

Agreed. I think that when it's painted and linked up to the three bar grill and paperclips all those little touches should come together to make it worthwhile.

Yep, I'm looking for some of those, looks like I may have to buy from Europe.

Think lateral. Find a dead ZX or Xantia or whatever in a scrappy, and nick the chevrons off that...

wouldnt they be flat though adrian? whereas the originals would have been rounded to sit flush to the bonnet?

They're plastic. I'm sure they'd be easy to... persuade...
