G'day from Viking
Well a few words from me. My name is Peter Fosselius living in Bretagne France since Jan 2009 with my French wife, also a mad 2cv lover.
We met during Raid Australia in 2000, where I re-entered the 2cv scene after being absent from anything 2cv since 1986. I grew up in Denmark and did my apprenticeship with an authorized Citroën dealer. Left for Australia and “forgot” everything 2cv etc. Year 2000 I got connected to the internet and began searching for my old dream of owning a 2cv van, but being out of the loop and not knowing anybody, it looked like an impossible dream. Found the Raid Australia website, bought a 2cv (Viking Duck) in Denmark over the net, had it shipped from Germany to Australia. Thanks God for all the very helpful Germans. Did the raid and bingo, hooked straight away. Had to get involved with all these wonderful nerds from all over the world.
Finally bought my Viking Van, again in Denmark. Moved to Perth with my new wife and started our business called 2CViking-Australia. Learned that Australia only have very few 2cv and other A-models, no more than 600 all up, spread all over OZ. Love Australia, its 2cv people and raiding Australia is very unique but business wise, not possible. Now in France starting all over again, bloody hell what a job, can’t even speak French, bugger…. Well not too bad when marrying one of the natives. What the future holds is only known to the Viking Gods in Valhalla but we are aiming for getting involved with anybody sharing the same interest as we do. French, English, German you name it, we don’t care. Look forward to learn about you guys and what this forum can do sharing the knowledge. Soon we are off to the French national meeting and the 2cv world meeting too. Hope to see you around. BTW if you are in France, do drop in to say G'day.
Cheers
Viking

Yep that's it. Viking Van is sleeping down-under in Melb together with my wife's Heurtebise waiting for the next Raid in 2012. Lots of European cars are left down under sleeping.

Harley and I are still in touch. We did the raid together, he join our TEC team (tail end charlie) great guy.
Harley is on the Snail forum as he is a mad "modifier"

Brilliant story & pictures there Viking. Really love the 2cv cross picture - i take it that was from when you lived in Denmark? Was 2cv cross quite big back then?

i've found a couple of old Danish stickers that you might like to see:
