 Re: Cool 2cv pictures 4 The car was built by Dave Burdett. He drove it once, but it made him feel sick! Then Bee Hill had a drive, and then I got about 3 goes (and won trophies!) before crashing at Buxton.

Re: Cool 2cv pictures 4 We did have a garden big enough for that sort of thing, I even made up a gantry to peg water bombs on, and a long stick with a fork on it. We used it a couple of times with my old dyane and charleston at family bbqs. I'll try and find some pics.

Re: Cool 2cv pictures 4 Did the narrow headlamp bar ever come with the later plastic grill? I love the look of the narrow bar but not so keen on the metal grill.

No - the headlamp bar was lengthened to accommodate the introduction of square headlamps in 1974, which was also at the same time as introduction of the plastic grille. Some people have successfully shortened their bar though by chopping an inch or so out of each side and welding it back together.

That's what I was toying with. Not sure how good it'll look with a plastic grille though. It will look like this:  It's not really that big difference.
