A snip at a mere 2,900 euro. I'm always confused by such asking prices for rusty metal, is it human nature do you think or is it just a French thing? http://www.leboncoin.fr/vi/84487803.htm?ca=10_s

 Re: Leboncoin/eBay finds
The French have a much higher and unrealisable expectation of the value of all cars. This is why so many of them rot away in fields and back gardens. [cars not the French, though that might be true as well]

[cars not the French, though that might be true as well] That would explain it, I've often wondered. Perhaps when I move over there I'll be able to supply such cars for unbeatable 'bargain' prices like 2000 e

Oh yes? how dodgy is that?! clearly a c1987 'bamboo'. god knows what's going on there! It is doable - just. Dunno about any power or speed restrictions - weight's the only one afaik. A friend of a friend lightened a D*lly until it just scraped in under - perspex side windows, drilled chassis, everything extraneous (on a 2cv?) removed - and got an official weighbridge thingy proving it.
