Hi Max,

Thanks for the welcome! You must come to India and experience the craziness of driving conditions here...yes it is pretty mental, but good adventure stuff for guys like you who might love to travel in your car. I'll certainly help you along.

Could not post any of my pics, since they are all hi-res. So I'll do some retakes shortly and post them.

Regards,

Steve

Hello all and what an excellent forum.

I'm Lewis and have been driving 2CVs for around 23 years now. Current model is a Louis Barbour 4x4 which you may have seen around...

Image

I've had the car over 10 years now and taken it to many World Meetings as well as Raid Laponie 2004 and Raid Poronkusema 2009.

First 2CV was a grey/grey Charleston which got painted up with jaws and RAF roundalls. Then were some snow and dessert camo 2CVs again with jaws and then there was the sidewinder Acadiane 1300 with a serious thirst for fuel. (again with jaws)...

Now back to 1 2CV in the fleet along with some oil burning Citroens.

Next big trip for the Yellow Peril will be Czech so see you there if not before,

Lewis...

Hello all
My name is Ru and love the forum..
My first 2CV, and first car for that matter, was a '78 drummer...last seen lapping Bristol roundabouts in the early 90's. I loved it and have had a few specials and a D*lly along the way.

Now I have shares in the Louis Barbour speedboat corporation and have a blue 4x4 (Blue Meanie). I circumnavigated Australia in this car and now partake in 4x4 meetings whenever I can. Next stop Morvan 2009.

I also drove to Mongolia (Mongol Rally 2007) in a 88 special aka The Hornet which is now being driven around Ullanbatar as a wedding car (or so I've been told)

Future plans are the Africa Rally 2009... Just signed up leaving December. London to Cameroon in 3-4 weeks, 8000 miles. Looking for a suitable LHD A series. I need my brain checking...

All the best
Ru
