Saw two in two days out of my window at work, looking out onto King Street, Ashbourne. C reg celeste on Tuesday, lives in Wirksworth (picture stolen from Jono's facebook page) then a green 2cv pick up thingy with pushbikes in the back, OCA 15V, on Wednesday.

Watched the last two stages of the Tour de France in the Pyrenees (up the road from us), so hot this week (not complaining).

So impressed with these little 2CVs getting round the mountains - does anyone know if they are standard or do they have some sort of "normal " engine :?:

Certainly hear when they are coming :o mmmm, sausages :D

I think the "sausage" 2CVs are standard apart from the paint. I had a reasonable look at one when the start was in London a few years ago.

Also spotted today, a red special heading north on the A5 nr Watford gap services at 3.30pm. I was on my way home from Auto Italia at Stanford Hall in my X1/9 but did wave -- no response though :-(

Blue Celeste with a home-made looking teardrop trailer, broken down on the M42 eastbound, just before J3, at about 7.40pm today. :(

Oh-Oh! That's Christian, on his way home from the Wye Knots Cider Camp. We parted company at the M5/M42 split, as I made my way back to Brum and he to Leicester - given the route that we came back on, it's probably the clutch! (the Hereford to Worcester road: Fromes Hill, etc)

Fairly sure I spotted him on Friday evening on the M42 near Sollihul around 8.30pm. In company with another 2cv (red & white, I think), and about ten minutes behind a dark blue 2cv with a red roof. I thought there must be an event on ... I was in the truck as usual, so I didn't bother waving.

Yep, a late start from Leicester, convoying with Marie~Anne in her G&W D*lly; the blue one was Tree coming down from Oop North :)
You should always wave, regardless!

UPDATE:

Christian had overheated (pulling that teardrop on what must have been the hottest day of the year so far) - a little rest on the hard shoulder put them right, and hopefully no harm done

Spent 2 days riding around the Tour de France and spotted this near Fougeres
Brittany seem to like Ami's as seen more Ami's than 2cv's or Dyanes
