Mallory Park, Leicestershire

Went to watch the 2CV racing on Bank Holiday Monday - we entered the gate with a G&W D*lly following us - F997 ODU - but he disappeared after we parked up (on the terrace, overlooking Stebbe Straight) We spotted him after the racing had finished, taking photos of the car, but he left the circuit before we could reach him
There was also a chap in a white Special but he didn't wave back as we passed by on our way to the other side of the track :?

Good to hear that it's back on the road! Spanners did a fair bit of reconstructive surgery on it a few years back.

We saw it parked up on the owners drive in Sutton Coldfield last October:

Ah, yes! I remember that... That's fairly local to me - I see it a fair bit, but only ever on the drive - this is the first time I've seen it moving!

I saw a 2cv with Charleston-ish paintwork, only in navy and white going into Tesco Wisbech this morning, I would have waved but in something as generic as the Kia it's a pointless exercise.

No, you should always wave - I used to flash &wave from my double-decker bus; now I wave from all sorts of stuff, including prison vans &panda cars!

Red Spesh heading along the Wittersham Road towards Tenterden this morning. Just caught JEG as the last 3 digits on the plate.

As you may know, its a rare thing for me to spot any 2cvs or derivatives,so yesterday was an extra special day for me.
Went to Newquay,Pembs,tp do a job.Finished the job, came out of the customers drive, turned the corner, and bam, there it was.

That yellow van's for sale in this month's 2cvgb mag. £4k, px considered for other 2cv (not Charleston/D*lly/Dyane)...

We took Sparky down to the Hay Festival again last night - been using it a few times over the last few days - and always getting plenty of favourable comments from other people in the car park. Last night, we wandered back to the car to find people reading the WM stickers on the rear bumper. Got chatting, and they owned the thoroughly gorgeous disreputable Bleu Celeste Spesh (stripy roof, Blueberries D*lly bonnet) parked a couple of cars away. Had it ten years, never heard of the club or any kind of 2cv "scene"! Seem like top people, too.
