Re: What did you do with your A Series today? A few days ago I shoe-horned a Saxo door into it, it took me fucking ages to get it out, they are wider and taller than every entrance of a 2cv.

Re: What did you do with your A Series today? Offered to check the old man's mehari's electrics were ok as the mehari was running crappy. Discovered what appeared to be a butchered ford escort wiring loom, spliced together with chocolate blocks, wires twisted together and wrapped in tape, a fuse box with no fuses in it, endless poundland style crimped spade connectors, earths consisting of 5 wires wrapped together and jammed in a gap in the spaceframe and fucking molex connectors from an old computer.
Spent the next hour with a set of wire snips ripping every shred of copper out if the poor thing, spending tomorrow making a new loom!

Re: What did you do with your A Series today? Drove mine to work, and home again. It's running beautifully now I've got the timing sorted out. Next job will be to drop the tank and fix the fuel guage (earth problem at the sensor end) and maybe lower it a little so it goes round corners less alarmingly.

Re: What did you do with your A Series today? Quick up date - listening to local radio and the motorways (route national) to Paris has 30cm on it and still snowing. We are the same - even quad refused to get out of garage....
