Neil , why this one ??? I find it like this on a garage .... I do nothing on it ... and I will do nothing on it ... it's a style ...

Hello Hervee, nice to see you here. I really like that particular 2cv, as my first 2cv experience was in a Jade green 2cv club - they are rarely seen over here now & i also like the original untouched look that this car displays! 8-)

That looks very sweet in a 2-tone Charlie sorta way! ;)

Is it still going at all, Russ, or in the scrapyard in the sky? :?

According to the oracle that is the DVLA:

Date of Liability 01 08 1996
Date of First Registration 22 08 1979
Year of Manufacture 1979
Cylinder Capacity (cc) 602CC
CO2 Emissions Not Available
Fuel Type Petrol
Export Marker Not Applicable
Vehicle Status Unlicensed
Vehicle Colour GREEN

it died in 1996... we sold it around 93 IIRC after going to the swiss WM in 91 in it, I think mum bought it in about 1987/88. It was sold to a friend of ours then it was sold on twice more, it was spotted around in progressively more battered states until apparently sometime in 1996 somebody gave up on it...

Our second 2cv, BLN 577T lasted a bit longer, until 2000, this went to the same people we sold the first one too, and suffered pretty much the same fate.

Was BLN a genuine special edition or a replica?

Dad found the picture in a book and painted it for a London to brighton run one year (the theme was 50s/60s IIRC), before that it was red and black...

Hi John, Yes we took onboard what you said - hopefully now this will help encourage potential members to become actual members!

Thanks for the picture of your Deuche - it certainly looks smart & i like the black wheels against the grey body. Feel free to post up more pictures & info in the 'Your A-series' section! ;)

If you feel you could spare the time to write a few paragraphs regarding owning, driving & maintaining an A-series in Australia, please do - i'm sure our members would be interested to know!

cheers, Neil
