Thanks for your comments,

As for the theme and banner they may change a couple of times in the next few weeks, just getting it right to see what looks best etc. Please be patient.

...and it's usually me...

The full-width version of the new header does work better than it did as a small corner image, the direct drop-in for the old pic. But the new white colour scheme just looks a bit bland to my eyes.

Also - and I realise this is as much my problem as anything else - the max width is too low - I've got huge great big side bars on this screen, since the fixed width central portion isn't nearly wide enough on my screen...

This is the only problem with having an image not in the corner really, on my screen they fit perfectly, On russ' yesterday they were hanging off and people were needing to scroll across.

And about the white, i dont no what your on about it must be your age because its actually purple. :?

Fixed size seems to be optimised for 1280?
