I emailed them to ask about placing an advert too, got no response until about a month later, then that response answered none of my questions, so another email was fired at them, again to no response... back on topic, Rob, are these all the puics you have? if not, get some more up!!

Re: An old album of A-series
Glad to see that people like them as much as I do.
They're all the pics in that album, Russ, but additionally I do have a photocopy of the Ami register along with originals of owner's letters: it's basically a snapshot of the Ami register as it was in the mid eighties.
I'll have another butchers at it and see if the material is good enough to scan, failing that, I'll bring it along to the Ace in June.

...and some of a day out looking for another Dyane, predictably, even in my younger days, most journeys ended with a breakdown.

Just as soon as a few more essential jobs on my daily drive are completed though. I'm determined to make sure that when I sell it, the next owner gets it in at least a slightly better state than when I took it on. But if anyone is in a rush to get a Dyane then I may be persuaded to part with it sooner.

Re: An old album of A-series
Thanks, I forgot I had them to be honest, that's the first time I've seen those pics since sometime around Kelso I think!
I paid a whopping £250 for the red Dyane with a years MoT, sold my 1.6LS Capri to buy it (WTF was I thinking?!). It did quite well, polished up nicely for the first few weeks of ownership, then after a few drinks in the pub one night, a dappy tart reversed into it and sandwiched it betwixt her nissan micra and a wall outside the pub! It meant some panelbeating to the rear wing and I did make a reasonable job of it but also caused one C pillar to fall out and the rear doors had nothing to secure them, being resourceful and poor, I held them shut with a bungee between them which went behind the rear seats, until I gave up with the doors altogether. I abused to hell out of it, and it's fair to say it absolutely flew, the only time it really let me down was when the earth wire for the luminition dangled a bit too close to the fan and got chopped up. It almost fell over carrying my lardy ex missus and her mate and a fridge round a roundabout. Had some good times with it, but towards the end it became a bit tired, both front indicators had fallen out of the rusty holes in the wings, the C pillar and rear inner wings weren't there at all any more, the hinges had all fallen off the doors and that meant when it rained, all I had for weatherproofing was the roof, which I'd torn when I shoved a kayak through it. Good times though, after that utter shed, I had a Charleston off me old man, and I'll happily state that not only was it in far better condition, but I made a slightly better attempt to look after it...

It's long since gone now, I sold the chassis and engine, which was a 2cv one anyways, so maybe they are still going, but that was a fair while ago, around 2002 I think.
