Mmm. The last "new 2cv" (according to idiot journos) was the DS3, before that the Pluriel, before that the C3, before that...

Exactly.

Like it or not, the pics below show the modern age's 2CV, and it has nothing to do with the modern Citroen car company.

And here's a clip of it in action, with a reviewer driving it. The review may surprise you.

Snowy, that's exactly what I think too.

The Nano *is* the 2cv for the modern world. I would love to get hold of one.

I'd certainly like to try one, Russell.

Here, read this and spot the similarities to 2CV! Including spontaneous fires, 3 nut wheels and all. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tata_Nano

Oh, and Tata's website refers to the Nano as "The People's Car". Now, where've we heard that before?! http://tatanano.inservices.tatamotors.com/tatamotors/
Check out the level of tie-in merchandising! This car is going to be MEGA.

(BTW, In the Wiki article: shocking to note the amount of civil disruption and violence that Tata has created in Singur, Gujarat, when it built it's factory to produce the Nano.)

Meanwhile, fast forward 70 years, where our as yet unimagined middle-aged grandchildren are posting cool Nano pictures and creating neat signatures for their favourite new website http://www.internationalnanofriends.com (TM, btw).

If you needed any further proof that satire is redundant, never mind photochopping chevrons onto a Nano, take a look at the Citroen C-Zero...

(Yep, it's a rebadged Mitsubishi i-MIEV.)
