Re: Yellow and black Charlie back!
Yes, it is a lot, more than I ever thought I'd spend on a 2CV. But I reckon I have a well sorted car now, keep the rust back and it should last for yonks.
The garage was Dunkley Motor Services in Botesdale, Norfolk and I trust what he has done 100%, top chap and would recommend him to anyone! Even though it cost me more, I am happy with his thorough approach and I know that he hasn't bodged anything.

Re: Yellow and black Charlie back!
well thats sort of a new engine
i have a new barrell and piston in my bike, which i fitted, made the engine feel like new so you probably had something similar
and dont speak to soon about rust, you never can!!!!
well i had my floor welded up today, and door posts, guy did a pretty good job, look like new, then again, what concerns me is whether hes used filler or actually welded new bits in, as there is some gunky shit round the new bit of metal, dont know if that selent but will take the magnet to it to have a see

Re: Yellow and black Charlie back!
well
i used por 15..
in my boot
see my thread somewhere
some peopls wear by it, some people do not and dis like it,
its very very rock solid stuff
from my experience i love it, however it is uv sensative and its best to buy it in small tins they do come in big tins also) as once the lids off it is difficult to stop it from being good for the next usage
however you may get lucky!
